[002 - Hologram] It's like Deja Vu in reverse!
[Hello Knowhere, it's been a little while. Drift's generally good spirited demeanor seems a touch off-kilter today. Something's clearly gotten the swordmech in a state of awkward uncertainty.]
Sooo, uh. Has anyone, by chance....seen another one of my kind? But bigger, red chassis, blue helm, faceplate, tall audio spires. [As if Drift needed to illustrate that by putting his fingers to the sides of his helm; his own finials do that all on their own.] Sometimes looks like a big truck?
[AHEM.]
Answers to the name Optimus Prime?
[Because Drift swears he's seen the Autobot leader walking the halls of Knowhere. If Optimus had arrived, Drift would have heard about it before this, right? RIGHT? So was it a vision? Or has he taken too many hits to the helm? Maybe the last of the energon in his ration pack finally went bad? He still doesn't understand these powers that he--supposedly!?--has, and you know, how they're even supposed to work.]
Erm, on that note. Anyone out there with a time gem shard, if you've had an success with your powers, I'd love to hear from you.
[Tell him your secrets!]

Psi powers are supposedly kinda disorienting when they first manifest, especially the purely mental ones.
[She wouldn't know from experience; her mutation is about as physical as it gets.]
[hologram]
Sigh powers? [WUT] OH. You mean, of the mind? So that's normal then, the disorientation?
[hologram]
[Can't throw a rock where she's from without hitting a psychic.]
And y'know, big guy, you've got a shard of an immensely powerful cosmic artifact bonded to your soul. It's gonna be weird regardless.
[She's pretty mellow about hers, but the Soul Gem is like that.]
[hologram]
[Not strictly new concepts but incredibly foreign, yes.]
Huh. That's...both mildly intimidating and a relief at the same time...
[He resonates with your cavalier attitude, they should hang out more often!]
[hologram]
[Loki. Loki has mental powers.]
In my culture [which she doesn't like tbqh] precognition is supposed to be a gift of the gods, and they don't give you more than you can handle.
[Unless you piss them off, but she doesn't think Drift has been around long enough to annoy any Olympians, even assuming any of them have ever been out this far.]
I guess you just have to decide you're up to the challenge.
[Namorita Prentiss: actually stubborn as all hell.]
[hologram]
A gift from the gods? [OH!] Well I...did have one before coming here. Granted to me from Vector Sigma.
That's the current incarnation of our god-creator, Primus.
I, uh, was also kind of dying at the time.
[Drift: also stubborn as hell!]
[hologram]
[Nita trails off because she doesn't really care about deities. Her religion isn't based on faith so much as ritual, and for all she swears by Neptune, they're literal light years from his domain, so petitioning him is pointless.]
I guess there might be a version of your guy in this universe.
[Nita regards this as a practical problem rather than a spiritual one. Gods are very real where she's from. Some of them are on the Avengers.]
[hologram]
[Please say yes otherwise this is the weirdest version of small world syndrome that he EVER wants to experience.]
Do you think so? [Wouldn't that be grand?] But how do we really know if it's an alternate universe and not the same universe just vastly different parts of it?
[Theorizing these things keeps him up at night.]
[hologram]
[It's totally normal for gods to roll in and preside over weddings, right.]
Welllll, Rodimus said you guys were on Earth for a while, and I've never heard of you [Nita you've been gone for at least five years] so I don't think we're from the same universe. I mean, it's not like traveling between universes is unusual [Nita you hang around the Fantastic Four] y'know?
[hologram]
[Give him a bit to process that.]
Hmmm. That follows. Anyone on Earth in their 20th Century would be familiar with us. So these gems can pull people even across dimensional boundaries. That's...powerful.
[Goes without saying maybe, but he's marveling at the scope.]
[hologram]
[Because Drift totally knows who they are.]
I know people who can travel across dimensions, but grabbing folks from all over all at once isn't super-reassuring.
[This is all pretty out-there even by Nita's distorted standards.]
[hologram]
[If he thinks about it, it wouldn't be too different than walking with the Knights of Cybertron right? Just, two steps removed from divinity. Divinity-lite? Hey, he'll take it.]
It makes me wonder what others they might decide to grab. [He has certain NOT-friends he hopes never get picked. Prowl. TARN. And a few others he wishes would. ....like Ratchet.]
[hologram]
[Thor's an alien and Hercules is a demigod, plus Nita's fundamentally pagan belief system doesn't see anything weird about gods wandering around messing with mortals. It's what they do.]
"Decide" might not be the word. It could just be random.
[hologram]
[BUH.] Random is worse, they could pick anyone. [And it would mean he wasn't special, beyond 'right time, right place' anyway. What a drag.]
