[Hello Knowhere, it's been a little while. Drift's generally good spirited demeanor seems a touch off-kilter today. Something's clearly gotten the swordmech in a state of awkward uncertainty.]

Sooo, uh. Has anyone, by chance....seen another one of my kind? But bigger, red chassis, blue helm, faceplate, tall audio spires. [As if Drift needed to illustrate that by putting his fingers to the sides of his helm; his own finials do that all on their own.] Sometimes looks like a big truck?

[AHEM.]

Answers to the name Optimus Prime?

[Because Drift swears he's seen the Autobot leader walking the halls of Knowhere. If Optimus had arrived, Drift would have heard about it before this, right? RIGHT? So was it a vision? Or has he taken too many hits to the helm? Maybe the last of the energon in his ration pack finally went bad? He still doesn't understand these powers that he--supposedly!?--has, and you know, how they're even supposed to work.]

Erm, on that note. Anyone out there with a time gem shard, if you've had an success with your powers, I'd love to hear from you.

Optimus Prime? The one who rallied the 'Autobots' at the beginning of the war?

[Wing still remembers a time when 'autobot' was an insult, and the Knights had puzzled over why a faction would choose that name.]

Is it still giving you trouble?

[Wing doesn't have a time gem, but he's definitely having some success with his. The fact no one sees a difference is a sign of it.]

And led them for the rest of it, yes. [Barring certain critical moments, welp.]

It was different this time. Longer but not immediately...relevant? At least, no one's confirmed yet. [Have an uncertain shrug.]

Is that going to be...dangerous? I mean, with Megatron here?

[In Wing's mind, Optimus Prime was just as much a part of the continuation of the war.]

Maybe it's not immediately relevant because it's more important? Like a warning from farther off for a much bigger thing.

The thought had crossed my mind. But, considering that Prime was the one who posted Megatron on the Lost Light as Rodimus' co-captain, I'm thinking, hoping, it'll work out.

[Yes really 'co-captain'. ]

Hmm, possibly. But, I'd call what almost happened to you pretty important. [Wing probably means on the universal scale of things not Drift's personal scale. Oh right.] This is harder to interpret though. The one out at the fissure was only a flash but it was crisp and clear and I knew exactly what to do.

I suppose that might depend on what this Optimus remembers. Many of us come from different points in history.

Oh, this just affected me. If your Optimus is here, though, it affects all of us.

Oh that's true. [YIKES] Well hopefully they'll both listen to reason if we have to step in.

[Because frag is he's gonna let all their progress get obliterated in a temporal misunderstanding.]

I... that's true. Maybe... maybe the more variables there are the cloudier it is?

We can hope it doesn't come to that. There must be some way to keep the peace we have here.

[And he could be worried over nothing. But the fact Drift's had a premonition makes him feel that maybe it's not nothing.]

That makes sense. Like seeing a big thing from far away.

It might not be easy, but I think we can work that direction. No one here really wants to be fighting. Not after all we've been through.

[Knowing Rodimus and Megatron there will be bumps in the road. Prime, he hopes will be better at handling this. Assuming he isn't provoked.]

Yes, yes exactly. And I suppose too, the more things that could change before it happens??

Fighting, here, is a losing proposition. It would take so little for us to lose our energon supply.

Did you see him doing anything, in your vision?

It's too precious for that. [He better not see anyone squander their energy on useless fighting. Though, someone should tell him that when it comes to Pharma.]

Nothing too specific, just moving around the station, like he was scouting things out.

[Drift kind of wishes that was more, you know, exciting. He'll take this anticlimactic vision over the horrific one of Wing before it though. o_o;;]

We're too precious for that. All of us. I mean, for all we know, something could happen, and we could be Cybertron's only survivors.

[Oops, his cheery demeanor is slipping there.]

It seems to me if it was a warning, you would have gotten some sense of danger from him, though.

I... yeah. I hadn't thought of it that way. [Especially after Rodimus told him about the Dead Universe and Shockwave. And now he feels for Gamora even more, since she's apparently the very last of her kind.]

Hmm, that follows. So, perhaps it was just to prepare us?

[Oops, he hadn't meant to be a downer. It makes them special, if that helps?]

I think so. I mean, at least Megatron might need to be...prepared?

[How prepared, Wing isn't sure. But he's pretty sure meeting his former nemesis might require some, well, delicate handling.]

[Some things are just downers, period. But with Wing, it's easy enough to bounce back. That hope, it spreads like sunlight, touching everything in sight.]

Yes, definitely. They haven't been opposed to talks in the past, and things now are...different.

[But still, setting aside old grudges is hard, as they'd seen with Rodimus.]

[Wing's quiet for a moment, musing.]

Maybe it's a message for you, especially, the return of Optimus?

I... I mean. He's been kind enough to me but. We're not...close?

Maybe it's not a matter of that kind of 'close'? But, you know, the thread of destiny has always been woven through your life, Drift. Perhaps this is just more of that.

[On one side it feels true, after Vector Sigma, but if so why is it such a tangled mess?]

Look at the amazing twists and turns your life has taken. You truly think those were accidental?

I don't know that I'd call them all amazing. Just, uh, some of them. [Looking at you, Wing!]

But maybe you're right... I just wish I knew what it all meant.

That's where faith comes in, Drift.

Faith in yourself, first, of course.

I suppose things will become clearer in time.

Time and patience. Just be open to the idea that this was shown to you for a reason, and the reason will reveal itself.
