For all that we are 'chosen hosts' of these 'Infinity Gems,' our gracious host seems to dole out more requests than give a proper explanation first.
[ Megatron here simply doesn't like being left in the dark. there are more answers out there and he likes to be properly informed so he can actually access the situation and come up with a solution that's more agreeable for him ( and now apparently those he feels somewhat responsible for ). ]
What I am interested in, for the moment, is the sort of individuals [ YEAH, OKAY SO HE STILL HAS A LITTLE PROBLEM DEALING WITH ORGANICS, ALL RIGHT ] that I will be working with until this is all sorted. [ yeah, that's... that's about as much of a 'hello, who are you' that he can muster. ] Talents and skills, more specifically.
Drift, when you have a moment, I would like to speak with you. For other Cybertronians like myself, I would ask that if you are a crew member of the Lost Light, to get with me as soon as possible.
[ there's a pause, as if he is thinking about saying something... but then he does. ]
Oh, and Starscream. It would be a real pity if you decide to revisit one of your favorite pastimes. [ ha ha no it wouldn't. he'd love to tear your spark casing out if things got out of hand. maybe he'd even mount it on the wall for all to see. ...probably not. ]

[There's a pause.]
But if you really think people are going to go around and show their hands off, you've got another thing coming for you. People tend to play things close to the chest for a reason.
voice.
Nothing is gained without a bit of risk.
voice.
What'd you think of fighting the aliens? Were they a tough battle for you?
[Jason's mostly curious about what it felt to be a robot in that fight. He wants to know how they function, but it's not like he's going to spell it out.
If this turns into an information exchange, like the other wants, then he'll work with that. But he's hoping his question is innocuous enough.]
voice.
[ still does, actually... but no one needs to know that right now. ]
What do you think it was like? Rocks hitting a metal surface isn't going to do much more than leave a dent. Had I been able to transform in the hallways properly, I might have been able to simply step on them.
voice.
voice.
[ he's a tank. of course he's armed to the teeth. ]
Most of us have worked with humans to varying degrees. Dealing with smaller races is not new to us.
voice.
Have you done it in such a tight space?
voice.
[ he's like thirty-six feet tall. everyone is smaller than him. ]
voice.
Sounds like you're at a disadvantage. Honestly, you should be counting on us, bowing to our whims, and anything in-between, instead of thinking you'll work with us.
[Jason is no tyrant, but he's testing him.]
voice.
I would compromise and come to an understanding. There are times where I would even defer to another person's experience and expertise.
[ and then his voice drops, and yes. it is threatening. there is a fine line and THAT is stepping over it. ] Never again will I bow to anyone's whims and neither will anyone under my command.
voice.
[There's a long pause.]
You've gotta wonder how much authority you have here. We're all clean slates, tugged in and meant to go back home. But until that's fixed, until that's sorted out, we're stuck here.
So, how are you gonna define that?
voice.
I'm defining this as a learning experience. I will not stand here and lie about my love for organic races, for I am largely indifferent towards them. What I know is this: if one little bot can risk his reputation and our home on me, who he had held nothing but contempt for four millions years, then I had best not let him down.
voice.
[As much as his tone is light—it's almost forcibly so. After all, he's referring to his father (well, adoptive one) when he says this.]
But not lying. That's an important step. As for my skills, to finally reward you, you can call me a jack of all trades. Or trades that organics without any special powers can pull off. I'm a veritable arsenal, except some guy already took that title, and let's just say that I wouldn't wanna be associated too closely with him anyway.
[After all, Roy Harper is buddy-buddy with Dick. No, thank you.]
voice.
[ respectful in tone Megatron can be... but decent? hardly. ]
A trained combatant, then? Though I was unaware humans held any special abilities.
[ that's promising. ]
voice.
[Or maybe Jason's just bitter.
He sounds bitter, at any rate.]
And you've never heard of metas. Well, that makes sense. Not that I'm one of them. They're your friendly superpowered humans. There's one or two here. I saw 'em kicking around.
voice.
Superpowered humans. [ JUST WHAT THE UNIVERSE NEEDS. ] Interesting.
[ must be like outliers. ]
I don't believe we have any of that on our iteration of Earth.
voice.
Or it says a lot about the Earth you know being safer. All those toxic spills and magical incantations can do a number on a population.
voice.
I couldn't say that it was likely any safer. The humans there still walked a fine line between peace and utter desctruction.
