[ 001 - Hologram] What's big, pink and smells like....strawberries?
[There's apparently a lot of giant robots around here. This one's looking a little out-of-sorts though, and it's pretty clear why, when he holds up--or attempts to--a very large wiggly semi-transparent pink cube. Give him a break okay: it's quite slippery, given its gelatinous state.]
Uh. Does anyone...want this? I bought it in the marketplace. I thought it was, ya know, something I could eat. Apparently it's for organics though. [Don't ask how Drift knows this. A medical diagnostic might be on his to-do list though.] And apparently non-returnable now.
[He has no idea what organics would do with such a large quantity of 'strawberry jello' or why it has any right masquerading in the form of an energon cube, but oh well, lesson learned. Drift sets it down before it nearly slips from his hot little fingers, (nevermind the squelching noise please) and pulls out an energon ration pouch, the pink liquid inside sloshing around as he holds it up.]
I am looking for more of this though. It's our fuel, and trust me when I say it's not good for organics. If you see any though, let me know. I can pay you for it, if need be.
[Just...not a lot. What a time to be without his gold currency card. But seriously people, Drift really, really likes not staving! He's done that before and would rather not again. But you better believe he's just the type of idiot to give out what rations he brought with him to the others of his kind. Because even if he's not fond of starving, hey, positive side: he knows how to tolerate it probably better than anyone.]
So Wing, Rodimus, Megatron, anyone else... let me know what supplies you have? I have some rations, if you're in need.

[hologram]
[Drift probably shouldn't talk, he hasn't diversified very froam from killing people either. He just has different moral limitations and spiritual guidance now.]
Does that make you happy?
[Also if that was supposed to intimidate him? Keep trying.]
[hologram]
[hologram]
Possibly even more than you.
[Deadlock was a frontliner all, and reached command status for a reason. He actively sought mission, after mission. Even Turmoil thought he was too brutal. But utter lack of morals? No, not even then. He was fighting for freedom, and there's few things more important.
But that didn't make his methods right.]
[hologram]
[But then again, Jetfire also went to the dark side, so it wasn't impossible.]
But if you want to compare kill tallies, I'm all for it. It might bring back some fond memories.
[hologram]
[In other words, you're a terrible judge of character Starscream.]
No, I don't. I'm not proud of how stained my past is. How hard we fought when all it did was destroy our world, our people, made us hated and hunted throughout the star systems. [It's a small slip, the 'we', but his present doesn't change his past. He was a passionately loyal Decepticon. To a fault.] And in the end it didn't win the war.
[hologram]
[hologram]
[A stifled sigh, because he can guess where this is going.]
You're never actually on top for long, you know that? It's only a matter of time before something comes along and knocks you down. And I don't think you can disagree when I say that hate is a very. powerful. motivator.
[Drift is taking melodrama lessons from Megatron it seems. But the point still stands. The Decepticons were born from hatred of the senate and imperialism. And they fell to hatred as well.]
[hologram]
What are you babbling about? Earth has raw energon, it's why the Autobots tried to escape there. Why do you think we're fighting over the planet? It isn't out of love for the fleshy creatures.
...
Okay. Maybe that is the Autobot's reasoning, but still.
[And pulsewaves? What?]
[hologram]
Yes, it did. But only because Shockwave seeded the planet ages ago. And Ore 13 wasn't exactly normal energon either. Good for combat sure, but nothing you could live off of. Seriously. Don't tell me you've forgotten how you powered up on the stuff and thought you could take the big guy by yourself but then Megatron pounded your aft into a crater anyway?
[Oh, right, he keeps forgetting that this is possibly not the same Starscream he knew.]
And those Earthers did a damn fine job of making all of us feel unwelcome. We went there to prevent Megatron from conquering the planet and stripping its resources but the humans didn't want or need our help.
[The last part is debatable but he's still pretty bitter about Spike. As far as Skywatch was concerned, the only thing they needed was Cybertronian tech. At any cost.]
[hologram]
Yes, I've apparently forgotten. Why don't you refresh my memory and tell me all about it.
[Give him all the details including how its made. Oh please oh please tell him]
[hologram] CUTTING IN
[ aaand to Drift: ] Do not so easily make such information public, Drift. Some conversations should be done in private and furthermore? Disclosing sensitive details to someone not from our reality is unwise.

He's the only one we have then.

gentlysteer the conversation elsewhere.]You're not from our universe so it matters little. And you never answered my question earlier. What did Megatron say?
[Oh, irony.]
[hologram]
... That you existed?
[hologram]
That's it?
[Wow letdown.]
[hologram]
[hologram]
[In hindsight he'd rather this Starcream underestimate him than know what buttons to push.]
